What We SHip

Nativeplants.us "What We Ship"

All our perennials and ferns are shipped bare root. They are not in pots or containers and have no foliage/growth at time of shipment.

All plants are shipped via USPS.

One of the best benefits of shipping plants bare root is that it reduces stress on both the plant and your wallet. Without heavy soil and pots, shipping is lighter and less expensive, and the plant can focus its energy on establishing new roots in its permanent location instead of trying to survive in a container environment. Bare root shipping also allows plants to be shipped during their natural dormant season, which minimizes transplant shock and gives them a strong start when growth resumes in spring.

All plants planted AFTER the last week of February will not bloom/grow until the following spring. We are located in Tennessee and our springs are much earlier than most of the country. Once the plants have bloomed/grown for the spring we then remove the "tops" and they will remain in their dormant state until the following spring.
